Default Garmin DriveSmart 61 LMT-S any good?

Here at Cymot they have got the Garmin 61 LMT-S on special.
Just wondering, is that a decent GPS? Anybody got experience with it?
Trying to figure out whether it can cope with driving offroad and could do back track / breadcrumps?

    Will T4A work on it?

It should be able to do that.

I have a Garmin Drive Assist 51 LMT-S and it can do all of that. It just includes a Dashcam as well

Thanks, good to know. I read a couple of reviews on an overseas Amazon page. Seems like the 61 LMT-S (and the 51 LMT-S) aren't that great at finding the correct routing. A lot of people complain about their navigation abilities.
    What is your experience?
As far as I could figure out, the 51 and the 61 are pretty much the same when it comes to the actual GPS, just different in screen size and yours would have the built in dash cam?

Does anyone have any experience with the Garmin Drive Smart and T4A?
    I like the big screen.

    Tracks for Africa works.

Garmin is not as good at avoiding traffic jams as google maps.

I can confirm there are problems routing with Open Street map but that is because not everyone puts roads according to the same standard. So sometimes it leads you to the wrong tracks that are slower etc. That is not Garmins fault.

So far I did not have any problems with tracks for Africa.

Garmin is good for off roads and towns where roads are few. Even though it has live traffic, best is use Waze in big cities as people add constantly and update.
