    Ek was ook in situasie soos Commander. Ek het die geleentheid gehad om 'n 2012 Nav te koop met 250k op klok vir R120k met fSH by Nissan. 140kw 4x4.

    Maar het ook die stories gehoor dat Nissan duur is ens. Ek het toe maar die kans geneem en ja Nissan is duur by die agente, maar als is beskikbaar by "3rd party" plekke soos Reenen gesÍ het.

    Sover ek is happy met my wa. Watter Pathy kyk jy na die Thai 128kw 4x4 of die 140kw Spain

    Eks nog nie 100% seker nie, ek het sover nog net n 3.0 TDi gery (V9X as ek dit nie mis het nie?) Hoe ken mens die 140kw en die 128kw 2.5's uit mekaar? Eks gewoond an die Touareg se 165kw en 550Nm, so ek dink die 128kw sal dalk bietjie lig in die broek wees vir my.

    As ek dit reg het is die +-2010 en op Navara 4x4 le spec met die ronder vorm bumper voor die 140kw en die 128 kw is die Thai spec die een met die groef wat dwars oor die voor bumper loop net bo spot lights.

    Search hier op die forum ook onder die nissan afdeling. Daar is paar klein verskille soos met liggies binne en dan die VIN nr gee die groot aanduiding. Daardie krag outputs in net in 4x4 modelle. 2 trek is laer uitsette

    ek dink nie jy moes die 3.0 eerste gery het nie. Nou gaan die 2.5 teleurstellend voel in vergelyking. My skoonpa het 140kw en nou onlangs 'n Bushwakka Sundowner aangeskaf (leeg +-1200kg's) en dit soos ''n droom gesleep van huis tot Citrusdal. Piekenierskloof pass heel maklik sonder issues.

    Myne het daai delfde lyn/vou/groef, net bo die spots, en myne is 'n Spain Spec 140kw.

    Die VIN nommers is die enigtste manier om werklik seker te maak,

    Ekt vandag met n 2.5 gery en hy het baie lekker gery, engine was meer responsive as die 3.0 van vroer en hy jet goed getrek. Ek is nou redelik seker iets was nie lekker met daai 3.0 nie, so wil kyk om nog 1 te gaan toets voor ek finaal besluit. Ongelukkig was die een van vandag net n 5 sitplek sonder die infotainment en reverse camera, so nie rerig n opsie nie.

    Een ding wat ek wel opgetel het met albei is dat die remme vir my nie so responsive voel soos in die Touareg nie, so ek sal moet gewoond raak daar aan om vroer en harder op die remme te klim.

    Iets anders wat ek vandag raak gesien het was dat die 4x4 selector knop n 2wd verstelling het, ek kan dit nie onthou in die 3.0 nie, het ek net nie mooi opgelet nie, of is daar n verskil? Hoe werk die 4wd auto verstelling? Ek assume dit is vir pad gebruik en daar is een of ander vorm van torque transfer? Is 4wh Hi dan met n locked centre diff?

    Al die pathfinders het 2H, auto, 4H, 4L.
    Navaras het nie die auto nie.

    Auto is maar net 4H met oop centre diff, 4L is centre diff gelock. So auto is n awd.

    Ek het vandag met nog n 2.5 en n 3.0 gery, weereens het die 3.0 pap gevoel, in die geval het dit gevoel of die een gladnie geboost het nie. Geen liggies of die dash nie, maar ook nie rerig enige performance nie.

    Ek vind dit ook baie vreemd, maar wat my eintlik meer pla is dat daar dan potentiaal is vir die 3.0 om so sleg te loop. Uit my baie limited experience van 4 karre lyk die 2.5 soos n beter opsie.

    2.5 DCI Pathfinders van 2006-2011 is almal 128kW 2.5DCI Pathfinders van 2011/Bumper change- is almal 140kW.

    My 2010 Pathfinder LE is 'n Spain Spec, (VSK Chassis nommer), het 'n groef in die voor bumper en is die 140kw model!!

    As far as my limited knowledge stretches, we never had the 4x2 Pathfinder here in RSA, only the 4x4 variant. The Navara came in 106kW for the XE 4x2 Model.

    The one I was looking at over the weekend (offer was pending but the salesman didn't seem confident that it would go through) was sold today, so the hunt continues...

    So I am back at the forum wellspring of information, while following up on a Pathy I got a service quote from one Nissan dealer saying gearbox oil needs to be changed on 120k km, when I spoke to another dealer I was told the "filled for life" story and that no change is needed. The full 120k km service was quoted at over R15 000 BTW, not that I plan on sending the car to Nissan for services, but that is quite a heafty bill for a service that doesn't include cam belt/chain or brakes.

    The other interesting thing I noticed is 2 pollen filters? Can anyone comment on that? I am well impressed with how friendly and helpful the staff was a the dealer, they really walked the extra mile.

    Pollen filters can be replaced with gut units

    The gear oil is expensive, and quite a job. About R7000 for the gearbox oil change only (on v9x) at agents. Party agente sÍ elke 120 000km, party slegs op inspeksie wat fout wys.

    Daar is seker meriete in al 3 opsies van nooit, elke 120k of op inspeksie. Ek hou van die opsie van inspeksie...

    Teoreties, is die box filled for life. Maar goed kan fout gaan, dan kort mens n change. Nie alle mechanics kan bepaal of olie nog reg is, en vervang voor die voet. Maar, mens kry tog nog daardie paar ouens wat dit kan bepaal met elke diens.

    Ek diens my v9x by agente. As ek dit self sou diens, of by n indy, sou ek juis die gearbox diens by nissan laat doen, tensy die indy n baie goeie ex nissan ou is.

    Met olie vervanging, moet hele gearbox geflush word.

    Dankie Reenen, watse ratkas gebruik die Pathy? Op die Touareg is die ratkas olie n vuil job maar doenbaar by die huis (Aisin ratkas).
