Question Toyota FJ Cruiser Roof Rack question

I have removed my Front Runner roof rack today as I will not use it for a while and the wind noise at highway speeds was perceptible. I see that the Frontrunner installers added a bit of silicone sealant to the bolts and the plastic inserts. Do I need to seal the white plastic roof mounting hole covers with silicone as well or will the washers around the bolts do the job in terms of preventing water ingress? I did not inspect the roof before the roof rack was installed.
    Chris

Just seal around the bolts that go into the roof. The plastic covers just clip on with no sealant.
