    Default New old Commander Hemi

Recently bought a Commander 5.7 Hemi.
Had a CRD Commander a few years ago.
    Also had a Prado 120.
When I decided its time for a 4x4 again, the Commander won, and I couldn't resist the Hemi. Plus I still have my frontrunner roofrack from the previous car.

Just as nice a car as I remember, even better with the Hemi.

Immediate plan is to get it to Bulli for a once over and sort out any potential issues, and all fluids to be changed. Only problem is I can't get hold of him.

Then exhaust needs to change from stock to hear more of that glorious V8 symphony.

Stock suspension will also have to go. After 140 000km it has done its time. And the low stance is not a very good look.
My previous Commander had OME fitted. Not sure yet what is available these days for the Commander.
And then slightly higher profile tyres.

Then hopefully I can afford to fill her up and drive her somewhere.
I am actually quite impressed with the fuel consumption.
But a long range fuel tank would be nice though.

Don't these run on 4/6 cylinders and only on all 8 when you use the loud pedal?

Nice Commander! What is your real world fuel consumption combined, highway and urban? Funny that my CRD commander gives better km per liter than my previous 2010 CRD WK.

    Thanks guys.

I have done probably less than 200km so far with it, of which at least 40% was city driving. So fuel consumption is not really something I can comment on.
I reset the consumption when I bought it, got it down to 13.6l/100km and left it after city trips on about 18.8.
The MDS, or fuel saver does make a big difference though on consumption on the open road.
