    Default Northern Namibia trails

    Hello,

We are planning to overland once more in Northern Namibia next August (2019) but we read that Namibia has had torrential rains,
so maybe some riverbeds won't yet be viable such as Ugab river, Hoarusib, Hoanib or Khumib, the Divorce pass trail?

Does anyone know about the state of these tracks ?

We have a Landrover - Defender 110TD5 and are getting used to overlanding in Southern and Eastern Africa .

    Thank you for your replies!

    Regards

    Mary

torrential rains would have been wonderful but no such luck...

we are actually experiencing drought. If you are new to off-roading and overlanding I would not suggest doing those routes alone, and if you do, take a sat-phone.

Have a look in the Namibia section, a few trip reports of people who have recently been in those areas.

    Thank you very much !
We are used to driving off roads and we will be with 2 other vehicles ( 6 people all together).
Actually we have been to Northern namibia in 2014 and we liked it so much that we are returning but with other friends and not quite the same route.
I'll have a look in the Namibian section as you suggest.
Thank you again and really sorry for the drought.
