    Default PN to Dehoop

Planning to sleep over in Dehoop campsite Richtersveld for two nights enroute Namibia.

We will overnight In Hondeklipbaai and then make our way to Dehoop.

Will be towing an Xplorer with the Patrol. Any advise on the best road to take to Dehoop campsite. I see there is 2 options:

    1. Via Sendelingsdrif
    2. Via Helskloof pass and Domorogh pass

also I see its about a 2.5hrs drive from the park entrance to Dehoop.

Any advise on these 2 options - easiest and fastest route to the campsite.

    Thanks

I believe you have to book in at Sendelingsdrif

Yes, you cannot go via Domorrah pass when entering, only when exiting.

You will have to go via Sendelingsdrift because thatís where you check in.

    Cool thanks.

How is the road between Sendelings and Dehoop for towing a caravan?

It is ok, just a bit slow going through the mountain passes (Akkedispas, etc).

The last 2 or 3 km's is also a bit rough, but not a problem.

Did it in April with a Boskriek.

Your best route would be via Sendelings directly to DH. The last section to DH might be tight with the Xplorer (because of its length), but possible. I'd however just stay on the northern section of the camp as its a very tight section to get south.

Just take is slow and easy on the tight sections but you should have no issues towing the caravan, it was very easy with the Metalian.
