    Default outdoor-fishing-rod-light

Has anyone used one of these whether camping, fishing or for other purposes?
Are they worth getting and if so are there any other suppliers that sell them?

Looking for one that has a longer rod extension and higher watt.

Different models/brands available. Same concept/parts - Stand, Telescopic fishing rod, light - (different power outputs), cigarette plug and clamp set. With some, also a remote. Can switch on/off, dim with quite a number of settings between full power and off.

Works brilliantly! Light could be direct as you wish. With the rod extended to max level it is nice to pitch tent and set up camp, thereafter it could be lowered and dimmed without light polluting the neighbouring stands (they would not appreciate it).

Should you need an emergency light, just use it without the pole.

Bought at Zambezi China mall in Pretoria for R495.00. similar to https://www.banggood.com/12V-500W-Te...r_warehouse=CN

Just a point that confused me at 1st. The 500W is the equvalent power and the power actually used. A real 500W would not be able to run from a 12V 7Ah battery and these lights do for 8 plus hours.

I am a bit confused, on the website it says 360 degrees of light. Yet it looks directional and a previous poster said it won't bother your neighbours?

I have the exact same product you are enquiring about bought from the same supplier. I have blown 2 remotes and can only use it on the brightest setting ( without the remote in line) this is a pitty as the remote is very handy to dim the light to appropriate level and also to switch on and off. I am looking for a remote that will work with a higher amp rating. It is my opinion that the remote supplied with this product is rated too low hence the reason for it blowing within the first couple of munites of usage. Otherwise, the light really works fine.

#8m Albertvl, light source is LED, stuck onto one side of Alu plate, therefore cannot be 360 deg. However, there are different models with different shapes and different output specs, also some with two plates of LEDs.

The rod, being telescopic, does obviously not have to be extended all the way. It appears that there are different rod lengths available as well, and could also be angled depending the direction of the “stand”.

Methinks the website copy might be incorrect.

I bought mine from Soundtech in Ottery Centre for about just over R300. Same box, with remote control.
