    Default Ngonye river camp

    Hi all
Has anybody been at Ngonye river camp recently?
Can you tell us more about the camp please.

I am trying to find out what there is to do and see in the Sioma area. What I have got is the Ngonye falls in the Ngonye park and thats about it.
Sioma Ngwezi due South looks to be undeveloped. Anything North of Sioma or East over the Zambesi?

Hi WK, we stopped at Ngonye river camp about a year ago on our way back from the Barotse floodplains. Amazing views n front of lodge and white sand banks that looks like a beach. It looked ok but very dis-organized and nobody was around to help so we pushed on further to Kabula Tiger camp ( about 70km from Ngonye Falls ) which was very basic but very nice. Really not much to see in that area but the Ngonye Falls was really breath takingly beautiful. You can also try your hand at tiger fishing at Kabula as they have boats and guides. Ngonye Falls are at the most spectacular when the Zambezi is low around Sept to October. Feel free to PM me for more info.

Yes, I would also suggest nearby Kabula Tiger Lodge, lovely camping on the Zambezi and a well-organized if slightly rustic campsite with very good facilities. The owner "Tooi"" is a member on this forum.

We camped for two nights at Ngonye river camp in November 2018.
Jack , the manager welcomed us en all personnel were friendly and helpful.
The even provided us with free coffee and biscuit early in the mornings!
We chartered a boat from them and visited the spectacular Ngonye river falls.
Good place to spend a day or two.
