    Default 105...sshhh...nobody knows

So...not being the biggest toyota fan out there, I have always had a secret weakness for the 105. Not being a diesel fan, it would have to be a petrol one. Now we all know these machines are quite rare, and those that have them refuse to sell them...but guess what I bumped into and could simply not resist...

Thanks, have done a few small mods so far, bumpers front and rear, 6" suspension lift, 35"muds. Still have a bit to do...

this will be a pure overland rig, but must also be able to do the off-road story, namboyz style.

this is before the final lift, dont have pics yet after complete life. Tyres are on though. As is my customary spade...
Bumpers are on. Roofrack and camping lights were completed day before.

Exhaust is done, but with the uprated 4.5 I doubt I will do anything to the engine...for now.

I'm taking a nap on the back seat and Goody2Shoes is sleeping on the rr...was a rough weekend.

a few more mods on the list, and possibly wider rims, although do like the standard 8j steelies.

Hopefully one day I can learn to leave things as is

This secret 105. Is it AGM or Deap Cycle. Many of the popular ones are 102 AH.

I had the same issue on my defender with upgraded long travel suspension. Just get the highlift wheel buddy that attaches to thr rim. Jack the wheel up, and then put a bokkie (or rocks) under the axle to change the tire...

I only use high-lift for recoveries or when need some lift, never to change a tyre, have seen one too many accimedents with them.

But definately going to get a wheel buddy, although all the toyota chaps always say a cruiser never gets stuck?

Extended brake lines, any suggestions or best to just have some made up?

Other thing is it looks like the standard steel rims are 7J?
I need to go to 9 or 10J, but would like to keep the steelies. Has anybody had their steel wheels widened? I am always worried about that as it is a big safety factor, but seems like quite a few guys have done it with no issues?
