    Our problem is that we are going to cross the border on Saturday afternoon and the shops will be closed- Oranjemund and Rosh Pinah - hence the need to take something through for the first night ( we donít do tinned food). We keep on getting conflicting reports on what can be taken in!

    Spar in Oranjemund will only close at 17h00

    Don't take the chance. If they search and find, you set yourself up for a long day at the border.

    Donít need to take raw meat - happy to take a cooked frozen meal through which the department of Agriculture says is ok but as per the op - Just gone into Namibia no meat even cooked meat
    Allowed no problem with dairy produce

    This whole F&M issue on meat, chicken and dairy are as far as I'm concerned, a lot of bull!!

    It comes down to the official at the border post as to what's allowed and what not.

    We went through Onseepkans/Velloorsdrift and weren't even ask if we had anything. They did not even look in the vehicle or caravan.

    Nothing/nada!!

    BTW - Namibian meat are pretty expensive, but good
