    Default UPS batteries and maintenance

I bought myself a 24v, 2400vA inverter in a box purely for load shedding survival, TV, DSTV and WiFi router.

The supplier did not have batteries in stock, maybe a blessing in disguise?

My question is what batteries should I buy? And if there is no load shedding for an extended period should I periodically switch off the supply to cycle the batteries?

Finally where is the best place to buy deep cycle batteries?

I'm using the First National Battery (Exide/Raylite/Chloride) SMF100 102Ah Leisure batteries with my inverters at home. The battery with the treaded posts.

I exercise all my batteries on 1st of every month.
All in top condition still after maybe 6 or 7 years.
There is no task too simple for some people to complicate !
