Default Marius's Gen4 Pajero life thread

OK, so I'm letting the pampas cat out the bag.

My first car I used regularly was dad's Gen1 with it's various powerplants just out of school.

    Then I bought a bad gen2 3.0 V6 and fixed it up

    I then bought a gen3 3.2 Di-D

Now, I have just signed on Gen4 Pajero Di-D.

I will miss the beetle's refinement, luxury, comfort, power, towing comfort and open road prowess, but the maintenance is getting a tad pricey |(to be expected from a top end luxo barge). Nothing out of the ordinary for such a high miler and she has actually been very reliable. There is nothing wrong with it, but the specialist engineering and parts can be pricey for the smallest of things. Hence, I decided to go back to the rugged Mitsu engineering.

The touareg is in great shape and currently open to offers.

Here is the new addition. I will fetch her next week in Johannesburg.

Can't a fault a pajero, Good value for money, reliable, tough as nails.

however, from what I've heard and experienced to some extent with my IO, you tend to wait for spares as well.

Edit, I see you got it from De wit motors, I got my Treg there in Feb. Good and honest salesmen. Committed to the deal without seeing it first- so far it didn't backfire.

    Enjoy the new wheels

Interestingly, I showed a good friend the same car last week while browsing for Pajeros and said to him I'll buy it in a heartbeat. He also wants one

Nice Marius. Looks like a good buy. Seems to have uprated suspension or suspension spacers already?

I drive one and also shout Pajerooo when I see one, regardless of age model or who drives it. My children have given up on me and my infatuation with these awesome vehicles.

Marius's decision has me very excited. Must say I have trolled his volla thread regularly and find his meticulous/methodical way of tackling mechanical projects very enlightening! Which means I can now directly benefit, at least with 3.2 DiD
