I don't think it has enough/consistent flow to economically do hydroelectric.

This is one example where ground photos would have given more detail than drone footage.

    Far too elaborate for hydro.

    Lodge.

Would a hydro scheme not be better placed next to the falls on the other side.

    Agree.

If it is hydro then it would probably be the electrical substation and control room.

I agree, and it looks like it will have spectacular views of the falls. The price of progress.

Agreed, but I'm not sure the falls are ruined, it's not as if you will be taking pics FROM the falls, rather OF the falls.

Everybody probably moaned about the tar road past Sabie falls and a lot of other falls in ZA.

Yes, and it "opens" up that part of Lesotho a bit more as well. Might be sad for some people, but the country can really do with the investment.

Similar to the Cape being economical cut off from KZN by the Transkei. The last link in the N2 is sorely needed for development.

I agree, that area also has massive potential for tourism and just infrastructure in general. But it will necessarily mean that the Wild Coast will become slightly less wild.

I suppose so, but with the current building restrictions, it won't become another South Coast (I hope, I abhor the KZN South Coast).

We agree again.. Nobody needs MORE KZN South Coast.

But even just building the road will increase economic activity - garages and the like.
