    Default Cooper S/T Maxx performance

    Hi fellow forumites,

When ever I replaced tyres on my 4x4 I have put on General Grabbers on and was always very satisfied with them, but I live and drive mostly in the city and on occasions go off road. My situation is going to change where I will be living on a farm and drive much more farm roads and on the farm. Currently I have highway terrain tyres on my 4x4. I am eyeing the Cooper S/T Maxx tyres. I see that Bushlore 4x4 rentals is using Cooper S/T Maxx on their fleet as well

What is the performance of the Cooper S/T Maxx, how much kilometers do you have or did you get on the tyres? Would you recommend it?
What are the pro's and cons?

Use the tyres the farmers on the surrounding farms are using ....

They will know what works, and what not !

+1 I don't think many farmers use Cooper ST/Maxx or even BFG's. More than likely Firestone destinations

The thing that worries me the most is sidewall cuts, there are the rocky roads and lots of sweet thorn trees currently that you have to drive over.

Iím trading in my Ranger with 95000km on my Cooper st Max
    They have approximately 4mm left.
Pros They have lasted and done some good overland trips. No damage to date.
Cons They can be difficult to balance. They are heavy so will use more fuel. They have got noisier the more they have aged. To ensure even ware they must be rotated and balanced every 7500km.
Im fitting the new AT3 Lt on my new Ranger. They come with a 100000km warranty.
    Say no more.
