Default I need a new car - looking at Nissan Pathfinder

I'm new to the Nissan group. Wrote off my Landrover Discovery and need to find a replacement for less that R100K and thought that the Pathfinder might be a good alternative 7 seater.

Are there any issues that should be looked out for and specific mileage problems that should be avoided? What is the maintenance like? and any major stuff that should be done that I should look out for before purchasing a used vehicle?

Lastly, anyone know of a good used vehicle with less than 200000Km, please let me know.

    Looking forward to all responses.

    Ciao

Can't help with a pathfinder but there is a good Pajero on the classifieds if you want a 7 seater for a good price.

Lusted for a Landy but the Pajero was sexier and bigger in the right departments, just like my Missus.

Hi Wayne.... we have a 4.0 petrol and a 2.5 .... lovely vehicles, well appointed, lots of space, but the petrol version is REALLY thirsty..., the 2.5 is a good choice if the mileage is not too high and the V9X is a stunning vehicle.... but expensive to repair, although if you intend using genuine Nissan parts on any of them, you will find them eye wateringly expensive.

Pre 2008 would be what you are looking for, probably would only find a petrol v6 in price bracket.
