Default Diesel filter housing - 2006 Isuzu kb300

    Morning everyone.

I recently broke the bleeding screw off inside the priming pump/filter housing.

Dealers dont supply screw only complete housing.

Ill probably need a new housing as the chances of stripping the thread while getting broken screw out is highly likely.

Does anyone know where i can source a generic housing as dealer wants 2k .

    Much appreciated

Can you not drill a small hole into broken screw then use an easy out to get it out.

    Thanks jelo

This is right on top of my Christmas list, if my budget allowed I would of had it yesterday.

Done load of research on this and seems this and regular Delo 400 would render my ride bulletproof

That was my initial plan however Ive been warned that the threading may damage very easily and that once new screw is fitted it wont seal 100%

I'm inclined to try anyway, trouble is sourcing this screw... Going to a few scrapyards this afternoon so lets see.

Would anyone know why on earth an aluminium screw is used in this setup? Weight reduction on a 2006 KB 300? Hardly...
