Default Also Part of the stats now

I had my 2014 Hilux DC stolen at HoŽrskool Zwartkops on Saturday. When I stopped there were 3 car gaurds, when I came back after the hockey, they and my beloved Hilux was missing.

Bad news. Maybe consider a different brand now? It is one the most stolen vehicles in ZA.

I spoke to the guy from Tracker who does their risk assessments and he told me that the percentage of thefts for Hiluxes and Ford Rangers and Amaroks is identical. As the Ford Ranger numbers are picking up you also hear of more of them being stolen. So going for "another brand" does not necessarily mean that you will be better off.

    Very true.
The new Toyotas are as far as I know, not compatible with the taxis anymore, so they are now just purely being stolen for their bakkie-ness.

Very true, but thankfully they are continuing with the Ses"fikile version of the current model.

This is good news for Revo owners. Not good news for the D-4D owners.

And that is why I never give money to car guards.
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.

That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.

I followed few stolen cars pages on Facebook and I hardly hear or see posts about thefts or hi-jacking of Amaroks. Mostly from VW brand is small cars that gets stolen.

Is this not a numbers game, the more cars the more they are stolen.

I suppose you should rather look at a % of cars on the road,

There is a difference between a Toyota driver and somebody who drives a Toyota.

The forum speed cop comes to mind.
