Default Everest 3.2 Dash Rattle - HELP!!

I have a very irritating dash rattle somewhere in front of the driver seat in my 2016 Everest 3.2.

I have done the basic pressure tests everywhere to see if it goes away, and nothing.

The rattle is only there at idle and between 1500rpm and 2000rpm. But it doesn't always happen...

I'm hoping someone has had this and it's fixed?

It's going to make me crazy...

Check the plastic covers on the front of your windscreen. The scratch against the glass. They clip off.Cut n mm off on the bottom of the plastic cover.Took mine to Ford Bloem and the technical guy said its a common problem on all the Ford models.

That would be the plastic covers on the OUTSIDE of the windscreen not the inside!, sometimes dirt gets trapped and that causes that sound

I knew that was a problem with dust getting in there on the pre-facelift Rangers.

I did check that, but the plastic cover looks different on the Everest, so I didn't think of that.

Thanks will have a look this afternoon.

My 2.2 has the same rattle. Very irritating. Please give some feedback once you were able to solve the problem.

Had a look yesterday, and there was a lot of dust in there. cleaned majority of the dust out.

The noise isn't gone, but the noise is different, so that seems to be the problem area.

What exactly do you mean by cutting away a mm?

Just trim the plastic piece at the bottom end where it presses against the windscreen.
