Default Using Google Maps on iPad

Google maps works fine on the iPad but I have no sound?

Any idea how to solve this?

I just want sound out of the iPad speakers.

Recently I have tested a few different mapping software - by far the best is OSM and Maps, works 100% offline, has all the Open Street Maps information, and yeah it does voice - I just sync it with the cars bluetooth.

Well Google shows sound is on.
And the iPad sound is fine for other App's!

No sound problems with my Android phone.

Paul, is this only when you are driving. In my X Trail, navigation on my phone wonít produce sound if the radio is on. Turn the radio off and I get sound. Infuriating.

Havenít figured out how to get the sound to work either through the radio or iPhone if radio is on.

Sound and voice should be set to "unmuted"

Are you referring to a Google setting or iPad setting?

Google is set for Sound on.

I did not see a voice setting?

In the Google Maps settings under Navigation there are "Play as Bluetooth Phone Call" and "Play voice over Bluetooth" options. Mine are both on. Also set the "Mute State" to Unmuted. Not sure if that will help.

In Google Maps the sound settings are under Settings/Navigation. There you select Unmuted and perhaps de-select the play over Bluetooth option if you want the sound from the iPad speakers.
