Default How NOT to connect a 24V battery

I found this guideline on how to connect 2x12V batteries on the web of one of our solar sellers. The left goes to a controller and the right to the inverter.
What a bang it done this way.

I wonder how long this thread will get with all the amateur electricians getting involved saying the diagram is correct?

Perhaps a simultaneous serial and parallel connection...

Sorry. No, seriously, someone should send them a mail and ask them to remove it from their site before someone actually tries it...

Turn the batteries through 180 deg, and it will be fine!

Thumbs up Re: How NOT to connect a 24V battery

Don't really see a problem there
I asked ... him to check and he gave me the all clear, said I can connect in this way and get .. seven hundred and sixty nine thousand volts out the inverter ... https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qi1nSJZMcLg

    So what's the problem ?

If the image comes from www.howtopranksomeoneandburndowntheirhouse.com then there's nothing wrong with the picture.

It seems like our local sellers are using pictures from overseas without seeing a problem. Makes me wonder how good will their other advice be. May be these type of connections should be done with speaker twin flex to limit the current.

You could use dupont wires and then it's sommer a fused connection

You need to be more specific:

An upside down three lever light switch with the rockers mounted 180 degrees off.

The way the OP's diagram is drawn, those batteries will charge each other. The current goes round and round faster and faster until it overcomes all the resistance of the insulation and slides along the conductors. You guys just can't see the logic of connecting it up that way and that's why you're all so hypercritical. I'll bet all you guys don't believe Tesla's death ray is real either. Darn Luddites.
