    Default My Supercab Fridge mod

just finishing up my little project, and thought i'd share...

Because i use my van for work and leisure, i made a shelf with a frame for toolboxes (houses 6 ammo boxes with tools and spares etc), and then when the weekend hits, i replace the shelf with my birding shelf.
The idea was to make the area behind my seat modular, replacing the shelf depending on the purpose.

now just to see what items to put in the ammo boxes (probably eating utenils, braai stuff, camera etc...)

third shelf will be a solid board with thick sponge for when i take the dog for walkies...

    All exciting stuff this... :-)

The extra rattles that this would create will drive me insane, but nice idea.

That was exactly my idea when I wanted to replace the Everest with a SuperCab. However, I see that space is a bit of a squeeze. It looks big when it is empty but decided in the end to keep the Everest.
    Very well executed anyway!

Did the same with my supercab and a 80l National Luna.Moved my jack etc out compartment underneath freezer to back of bakkie.Dont want to retreive these with a flat and loaded freezer.Works well and nice to have coolies in Kruger without having to get out.Put a Hella plug in tool compartment and routed through to battery

    Hi,
How did you fix the plywood to the cab or is it loose.
Want to do exactly the same.

I used rivnuts. The 2 holes already existed In the child seat anchor points. So all i did was put a rivnut in, and make sure the holes line up of my board.

After doing some reading regarding where others also put a fridge at the back, they advised to anchor it properly, as one guy olled his cab, and the fridge almost landed on his head. So i drilled 2 more holes, and added another 2 rivnuts
