Thank you Tobie, the pictures are great but I have a few short questions please?

    Where did you stay?
How wet were the roads in February and were you able to use the lesser tracks to the north of Grumeti, onto the plains?
    Any other short comments?

Stan, it was a photography safari and we stayed at the &beyond Grumeti Under Canvass camp. Although fairly wet the roads were no problem. We did go off road a few times at predator sightings and only got stuck on one occasion (easy self recovery with few branches). Even the lesser tracks to the north of Grumeti was ok but we had a 4x4 Iveco beast. I will probably not have made it with my Ford Ranger....

Thanks Tobie, lovely part of the world and not overrun with tourists in the West, especially in the wetter times.

What a lovely area! Great photos too. We have been there twice once camping at a special campsite and the first time 4 days at the &Beyond Grumeti lodge when it was run by the previous management company.

On the second occasion in March we stopped for lunch at the lodge, which was a perfect break from the pleasantries of camping. They are quite happy to cater for visitors when they are not full.

    Dankie Tobie.
Pragtige fotos. Beslis op my "To Do " lys. Ken die area glad nie, maar is daar moontlikhede vir "selfdrive" of moet jy met lodge voertuie ry.

Rudy, "self drive" is beslis 'n alternatief. As jy tyd het begin met 'n kyk na my verslag oor ons Oos Afrika trip, onder aan die pos. Onvergeetbaar!

Thanks for all the comments. Yes as per Stan's comments self drive is definitely on. The lodge does offer lunch for guests, we had a few during our stay.

Visconeng, dit is met verskillende lense en converters geneem. Ek het Nikkor 600mm f4 en 70-200mm f2.8 net so of met 1.4X converter by gebruik. Die wye hoek skote met 24-70mm.
