Default Pajero Sport 2012 rear bumpstops

    Hi All,

Wondering if anyone has replaced these on their Sport?

Mine are finished, but Mitsu quoted R4277 for a pair.

    Must be a better option?
    Part# 41016

    Any suggestions most welcome.

Hi Mami, unfortunately we do not have any info but are interested to hear where you got the exploded view from, a service manual? We have a 2012 Pajero Sport and has just done the 200k service. Looking at the condition of your bump stops we may be due for replacements soon.

    Hi there John,

Itís a pic that the local Mitsu dealership sent me; to confirm which part I was looking for. He had to double check the pricing.

Iíve got a few places to phone this week & will keep this thread up to date with any positive info.

Default Pajero Sport 2012 rear bumpstops

Part 41016? Replace them with airhelpers, same price. I think they remove them anyway when fitting airhelpers.

    Hi Maml

I would be interested to know the mileage of the PS as mine is also a 2012 on 219k. If the mileags are similar I guess mine would probably look the same and would need to be replaced. Please share info should you manage to find alternatives at a better price than the stealers.

    Cheers

If that's what your bump stops look like, you should maybe check your rear suspension. You must be bottoming out far more than is good.

Yep, my one rear shock needs to be replaced... weeping.

Compared to a matesí 2016 model, theyíre much the same height. The stops are closer to the axle than one would think.

Also I now sit with this problem the bumpstop has completely perished.
I don't believe it is from bottoming out, more likely salt and sand and dirt over the past 10 years has just taken its toll.

I got quoted R2,600 each (R5,200) for what is essentially a piece of injection mould rubber and a nut. Words fail me.

Just asking if anyone has found a pirate part maker that does these - or some other solution.

I can go the air bag route and may do so it I cant find a cheaper option.

I see the bump stops on my PS have also left the car and went to heaven. (In bits and pieces) Did anybody fit air helpers recently - in Brackenfell and surrounds. Who did it where at what price. I have a Nossob to Mabua trip end of September towing an Echo 1+ and would like some more stability. Any help appreciated. Thank you.

    Hi Carl

In CT, I would go directly to Gremeltech in Milnerton for air suspensions/air helpers: https://airsuspension.co.za/
