    Default Diy shower arm

My clients original plumber must have been 4 foot tall because he put the shower arm so low. There was nothing in the shops that could fix this so I had a bash at making my own shower arm. I machined a cylinder and flange to accomodate the riser pipe and then tig weld some stainless pipe to get the correct height. I then made a very time consuming bracket and it came out real nice. I need to either find a pipe bending company or buy or make my own dies because tig welding bends on small pipe is very time consuming, especially if you are a bad welder. My 6'3" client is very happy.

    Looks good!
How much did your 6'3'' client have to hoes for the bespoke bracket?

Waaay to cheap. Your client must appreciate you a lot!

Now is good time to invest in a pipe bender. Always a good excuse to get more tools.

In general, plumbers seem to be height disabled

At 6'3", I VERY often encounter shower heads that are way too low.

OT, but the same applies to FNB ATM's

I have looked down on many a shower head in my time.

Standing at 7foot its one of the perks of life.

My shower head is adjustable on a rail.

Absolutely not,no height issues.... shower outlet's are fitted at a average height of 2200mm ... If we did your shower for you we would stand you in the shower with the arm and rose and establish a height, so at 7ft tall you would be fine with the height until your 5'5" wife came in and said "It's to damn High, move it down"

My mate, a 6' 8" plumber has sadly passed on. But he put a couple of units in that at 6' I struggled to reach...

When he asked his journeyman how high do you set a urinal, he said, "...ock height"
