Default Defender Puma 2.2 - Intercooler Install Recommendation

I was hoping some defender drivers might be able to recommend some shops that can do intercooler upgrades?

Is it a relatively easy upgrade? Should I just attempt it myself?

Easy job if you have the viscous fan spanner (Very thin) Other than that its a simple job with basic tools, just take your time and don't damage the radiator fins. You may loose a bit of skin off the old knuckles. Good time to change the radiator hoses if they are in poor condition while you at it.

I am sure there are plenty of videos on u tube.

    Easy mornings work.

Thanks Jakkals for your suggestion, but before I wrote this post I just returned from trying to meet with Anderson from Eurospeed. I tried calling for two days on the two numbers listed on their website but the phone was off the hook and the cellphone was off. My initial conversation with Anderson was positive and I saw a lot of really positive feedback on their facebook page, which led me to decide to go with them.
I decided to drive there and have the work done, but when I arrived it was a tyre repair shop and the person behind the counter there said that Anderson from eurospeed used their shop to work in sometimes.

I was not filled with a lot of confidence at that point, I tried calling them again twice and there was the same issue with a busy tone on the main line and cellphone off.
Due to them not having an actual shop and struggling to communicate with them I was not comfortable with moving forward as I really want to be guaranteed a quality job.
Needless to say I cant speak to how well their intercoolers work or last but I was concerned with their business and decided to ask the forums here for any better alternatives.

Take the front grill off. Remove the cowling over the fan. Remove two brackets bolted to the inner side of each front fender (the one has the bonnet stand connected to it, so you need to take the bonnet off or hold it up with a broom stick). You also need to remove the steel member that joins the two front fenders (once you've unbolted it on each side you see that you need to remove the studs too from the fenders. Just tighten two the nuts together and unscrew the studs). Remove the centre bolt holding the AC radiator to its frames to give you more space to work. Loosen inlet and outlet pipe clamps and remove old. Putting the new one in, in reverse order. Actually a crappi job, takes about two hours. Cheers, Claude

    Much appreciated for the advice.
I might just attempt this on my own.

Just need to find a quality intercooler to fit now.
I know Cirrus is on the list.

@ClaudeG Thanks for the step by step that really helps!

Also park the Landy where you will not obstruct your other vehicle/‘s - just in case you struggle - at least you or the wife can travel with another vehicle. And preferably bright daylight - without chance of rain
