Default New Suzuki Jimny, any 4x4 reports

    Hello everyone,

I currently drive a 2009 Jimny, and love the sound of the new model. Firstly, it looks great! But most importantly, the gearbox has been changed and they have put in a 1.5. That should address my two main issues with the car, a lack of power and a gearbox that feels like soup.

I have not driven a new Jimny, but would love to hear from anyone who has, especially if you have tested it offroad!

    PM Saxj or Flipside

It is not what you buy its what you build.

We did Klein Tafelberg over the weekend, mine did quite well.......
I could do sand climbs in second gear and max about 4500 rpm, where the older zooks had to drop to first gear and ride on the rev limiter.
And I had the aircon on :-)
The sand at KT is in a league of it's own.......

I'm quite pleased with it's performance off-road. In these videos, I often choose the worst line, and going as slow as possible, to see how the traction control reacts.
