    Also following with interest.

Reports from US Jeep forums highly rate the app. Only thing I’m wary about is chance to mess up ecu’s mapping.

Have a Rosstech VAGCOM for VW / Audi, and if not careful one could screw up settings.

Rosstech have excellent documentation for step by step “reprogramming” to keep you out of trouble.....but then Jscan might be more “idiot proof” which will suit me

    Have a great day.

The add on features are nice, I have even recalibrated my tyre-size so my speedo is accurate to my 3 gps apps and tools.

Development is ongoing and it seems well worth support. Their support via Facebook is also very good and quick.

What Scan tool are you using for the BMW Motorcycles. Looking at getting one as well.

Had a GS911 scan tool for my BM motorcycle....pricey but really great.
Check what plug you have on your bike, make sure scan tool will fit socket.

Tony, Eventually received the right OBDII adaptor/scanner Friday last week. JScan's website actually gives recommendation on which to use. Got the Vgate iCar Pro for iOS and it works well. Took some time to play around with it and eventually got it to do what I needed. Changed wheel size for speedo, now over reads by approx. 5km/h which I'm happy with, before it under read by approx. 5km/h. Changed the TPMS sensor to 21psi, and while at first it didn't seem to work, after a few km's it kicked in it seems as light and chime is now off and I run the tyres at 2bar. Also activated the doors to lock automatically once you start driving and for all doors to open on one click from remote. So far I'm happy.

Good to hear. I'm also very happy using android. So it seems that JScan has their act together for IOS and Android. The trick is to get the correct applicable connector

Guys, just a heads up here, use it don't use it, but this was my experience.
I bought the VGate icar OBD 2 Pro V4.0 for Bluetooth and Wi-fi as recommended by JScan. I got it from an on-line shop in Pretoria called Diatek.
I paid R450 plus R100 for courier to White River. These guys were absolutely amazing. It was shipped within an hour of me paying and received the next morning. The best part is that I got at least 2 emails from them everyday letting me know exactly where the parcel was in the process.
So not only is it about R200 cheaper than anywhere else, their service was outstanding.

    Hi everybody,

I am also using the Jscan with the IGate pro on an ios device and it works great!
However, the Jscan indicates that it works on WJ/WG Jeeps. This is not the case my WG 2.7Crd details cannot be read. Works well on the JK and WK2!

Any suggestions for the WJ? are there other software available?

    Help appreciated

Maybe contact jScan on their help line, their service is pretty good by all reports. Other than that I wouldn't know about any other apps

    Hi Chaps

Can this de activate the TPMS all together? I need a new sensor and this seems liek a far better alternative?

Secondly my WK2 CRD has uprated engine software, any idea if this will mess with that?

Thanks chaps, I have sent the guys Diatek an email as they seem to be out of stock.

Bit of info from my firsthand experience......

I disabled the TPMS on my Wrangler and didn’t realise that front LH tyre had deflated completely, while traveling on a gravel road, until guy overtook me a waved me down to stop. By that time tyre was shredded beyond repair.

While I’ve driven many vehicles without TPMS, it can save you money if fitted.

PS. Maybe a Jeep thing .... but never felt any change in steering while tyre was flat

I also thought tyre pressure sensors where a gimmick until I got a nail in one, and slow puncture. Monitor warned me before it became an issue and certainly helped save the tyre and avoid a potentially dangerous situation.

All my sensors have long disappeared. Where can I buy more and will they connect to the ECU?

Use aftermarket “stand alone” unit.....much cheaper than OEM and just as effective.

TWT and other motor spares stock various types.

    Have a great day.

Stockist above is out of stock of the OBD reader. I have ordered one off takeallot though- https://www.takealot.com/vgate-icar-...B&gclsrc=aw.ds

They got back to me to confirm this wont mess with any engine mapping FYI

At this stage i just want to disable the TPMS sensor until i can find one that does not cost an arm/leg to replace my broken one, would also like to re calibrate as i have larger tyres. Being able to check fault codes is also a great facility, although some time i dont want to know at all

    Again great find guys!
