    Some campsites that we enjoyed:

    - Tiras Guest Farm - on the C13: Amazing views and only 2 camp sites.
    - Campsite at the Duwisib castle: when we stayed there we were practically alone, which added a plus to the experience
    - Amanzi Trails at the Orange River
    - Canyon Road House - close to the Fish River Canyon

Can definitely second Mount D'Urban. Oom Boeta was one of the nicest people we met on our recent trip of South Namibia and his property is something to behold! Awesome facilities, just a pity we were there in the winter as the pool looked like the place to be in the summer months!

We just completed a 2 week tour through Southern Namibia and used the following camp sites to stay:

Oranjemund - op my stoep (private ablution)

Aus - Aus Namib Garage (shared ablution or private available)

Sesriem - sossus oasis (rustic private ablution)

Swakopmund - Alte Brucke (private ablution)

Okahandja - Gross barmen (shared ablution)

Mariental - Mariental rest camp (shared or private ablution)

Ai-ais - aiais resort (only shard ablution)

All sites had 220v electricity, but be warned that the surface for tent pegs are NOT camper friendly.

If it is not sandy then it is extremely hard....rebar pegs might be the answer!

I can recommend Amanzi River Camp about 20 km west of Noordoewer on the Orange river.. The sites have lawn with big trees and each is individually cordoned with electricity. There is a restaurant and bar with WiFi as well. They advertise themselves as a river rafting adventure but we and plenty others camped there without rafting.Co-ords on Google Earth 28 41 59.14 S - 17 31 59.68 E.

At Swakopmund i can recommend Sophia Dale Base Camp. It's 12 km from Swakop on the B2 to Windhoek. Big trees and powder soft sand with each campsite cordoned and with electricity. Solar showers. There is a restaurant with German and other beer in a beer garden with German and other food available. The owners are a German couple Manfred and Michaela Lutz. WiFi at reception.
    Co-ords 22 38 31.74 S - 14 38 11.88 E

    Klein Aus Vista.
Goibib Mountain Lodge, betweeen Keetmans and Grunau on your way there or back. You can explore 10 000 hectares at your own leisure.
Be careful: Hobas charges R250 pp/n.
Quiver tree forrest charges R255 pp/n.
    Klein Sossus camping R220 pp/n.
Do not even consider The point at Luderitz.
    Kolmanskop R100 pp entry.
When we were at Sesriem last week, there was no camping accomodation available. The closest was 35km away.
