The Cape mountain streams are fishing very well. October - November was fantastic after the first good winter rains we have had since the severe drought. It seems the big fish did not survive the drought, but the streams are flowing well and the fish are in perfect condition. December normally gets hot and the fish become much more wary. Beware, go early. Southeaster makes casting difficult. Wear camo and stay low. I had a little fun with the fish and my waterproof camera.

Was at Sterkies the past weekend. Fishing was tough with heavy winds. At least managed a few.

    Default Fly Fishing

Some trout from Karinmelkspruit. Lots of small fish, could see schools of them.
