    Yep, the effect will be the immediate, but also the longer term as their tourism industry is bound to be affected as it was last time with the shopping mall terrorism.

    Such a friendly and previously non-aligned country does not deserve this.

    Thoughts with all who has family there.

    I saw some pics and reports of (what seemed to be) Seal Team Members helping people. Is it possible that America had prior knowledge? Or just had a team on the ground close by to assist?

    According to BBC radio there was a UK army personnel (in Kenya for training reason) who was on the site at the time on unrelated business and was able to intervene.
