    Hi
we were there in October 2018- no toilets then, though there did seem to be signs of attempts to make some- we saw some canvas-covered structures in the distance.

Same comment here. Canvas dry toilets under construction during Nov '18. Toilets are also far from campsites, e.g. single toilet structure halfway between sites #1 and #2 is about 100-130m from each site. Would not do the toilet trip on foot at night, not with the number of lion and leopard we saw around our site (#2).
There does not seem to be plans for any piped water, Khwai river is close by though, easy to fill containers at one of several river crossing areas for shower / washing up, etc. Take sufficient drinking water though.
Important to remember, dump your rubbish bags in the steel cage at the camp supervisor site (between #4 and #5) every day or even before every game drive, the monkeys are becomming a pest at Magotho.

The last posting on this thread was over a year ago now. Can anyone give an update on Magotho please:
    • Status of the toilets and piped water?
    • Any tips on the best campsite numbers?
    • Anything else to be aware of?

    Many thanks.

    Been there in February 2020.
We found only one shower, cold water straight from the river, and one toilet operational close to MAG4, where the staff stays. The other ablutions are still a work in progress.

Available, with cold water and are shared among campsites. They are building staff housing at Magotho, so you with have those offices and housing for staff full time to attend you..
