Hairy field spider. Girl. Tomorrow morning she will remove the web and tomorrow evening she will be back spinning a new web.

I had one of these spiders living under the gutter of my afdak for about two years. They are fascinating creatures - as Roelof says, every evening she would come out and create this perfect web. In the morning, she just leaves the main strands of her web for the basis of her web that night again. If I remember correctly, she actually consumes the web every morning. But what is particularly clever about these spiders is that they've learnt to create their webs in a direct line to an outside light, thus trapping moths and other bugs attracted to that light.
