Back in 1994 we saw lot of lions in Liwonde, didn't see cheetah. A couple of rhino's were imported from SA, wonder how their off spring are doing?

The rhinos' offspring are doing well as far as I know , they are in an area within the park called the sanctuary, they are hard to track down. Which is possibly a good thing!

I have been a couple of times in the last couple of months and we saw a mother cheetah with three teenagers.

Fingers crossed the lions will breed soon. Last I had heard of them in the park was 2000, so they had been missing for almost 20 years.
They were apparently caught up in wire snares meant for buck. Very sad.
