It's a sad day, when police know WHEN and WHERE a crime is being committed that could kill people, and does nothing. Intimidation? Get more cops. Get ALL of them. Same thing with these hike muggers on the mountain. How's about one or two cops pull on a set of hiking boots. It's called 'under cover work'

He should charge the city for trimming the hedges to help pay for his medical bill.

The cops around here won't even do 100 meters walking on a flat road, are you trying to get them killed

Yeah right! I suppose they photoshopped the other red and yellow warning lights out which would have come on after the crash.... Quite a feat to take that photo with a camera without crashing. Oh wait, he did crash if this was from the wrecked car.

Is he still alive or still hanging on with life support? Feel sorry for his family if they did not condone this racing.

There is a image doing the rounds showing a BMW speedo at 312 km/h as well as McLaren speedo showing 321 km/h allegedly relevant to the incident.

....and then people are still driving on one's ass while you're already driving at the speed limit. Doing 100km/h in the right-hand lane on the M1 in JHB and idiots still come from behind flashing and throwing all sorts of hand signs. Who the hell do these people think they are? Ignoring the law and putting innocent drivers in danger?

    Huh?

Surely you are in the wrong driving in the righthand lane on a highway at 100 km/h! The law of the road says: keep left and pass right!

I see on Netwerk24 that the second vehicle was a yellow Porsche. https://www.netwerk24.com/Nuus/Algem...op-n1-20190123

There is a video as well. (Recorded from inside the Porsche)

...and surely the law says that if the speed limit is 100km/h then you must not exceed 100km/h? My point is based on the fact that staying in the slower lanes most often blocks one from staying at the speed limit (falling behind trucks etc). In order to keep at a constant flow of 100 km/h, one needs to stay in the right-hand lane. But then one gets pushed out of the right-hand lane due to inconsiderate drivers.

If you are hogging the right hand lane at speed limit, and there are faster cars behind you, there is no reason not to move left to let them past. How do you know that they have no valid reason for speeding? One could have a medical emergency.

I agree. Speed limit or not, if you dont have a reason to be in the fast lane dont be there! And i drive a Jimny so im not moaning because i want to speed past you!
