    Time flies

Today in a month's time it is Christmas day and we will be in Swakop.

The trip has changed a bit about a month ago, but still very much looking forward.

Enjoy, what a nice trip to look forward to. We got permits from the NWR offices around the corner from Zum Kaizer Hotel in Swakopmund to visit Moonlandscape and Welwichia flats.

Thank you Stevan, that is very useful info.

We are doing the Living Desert tour on the 24th and was thinking of doing the Moon Landscape and Welwitchias on the the 26th. But I guess we wil have to get the permit on the 23rd or 24th as the office will not be open on the 26th.. I hope they will issue it like that.

    Flip, dis 'n lekker trip...

At last the time to leave is almost here. I am so relieved that the trip is happening albeit a bit shorter Packed and ready to leave very early tomorrow morning for first night stop over in Upington, then Friday we cross into Namibia.

Michael, I happened to receive a mail from Sophiadale about an Eisbein special on the 23rd of December. I booked for that.

Any last minute suggestions on the following please:

    - General shopping and butchery in Mariental
    - Nice place to eat in Luderitz
    - Nice place to eat in Swakop besides Sophiadale.

    Thank you Tobie.

Yo, that camera..... I had no time to play around with it yet, so I am afraid it is pretty much going to be point and shoot on full auto the entire time. So blooming nervous of it..

So far so good. Currently in Swakop and we did the desert tour with Chris this morning. Super experience and what a nice knowledgeable guy!

    Two questions please:

How long does the Welwitchia and Moon landscape self drive take? I am asking because we have to be somewhere at 15h30 tomorrow and want to do a trip to Walvisbay as well as the Welwitchia trail.

Secondly a nice stop over camp site between Swakop and Mariental.
