Default Trailblazer vs Isuzu MUX parts

Now that the MUX has been launched, does anyone know if parts are easier to come by? I know it was a mission initially to get wipers, especially the rear for the Trailblazer, as well as brake pads etc. Do the aftermarket guys stock these items for the MUX? And.. ....do they fit the Trailblazer?

I can't believe that you can't find wiper blades for the TB.

Bosch wiper blades are excellent and come in a myriad of lengths and fitment options.

As for brake pads: these should be a standard part number, so maybe see if you can get that part number and try and cross-reference on the Interwebs.

Thanks for the replies. I am aware of all the threads relating to parts for the TB.

Was wondering if the same parts are used on the MUX, eg, rear wipers, front wipers and other wear and tear parts etc.

I am aware of the threads for wipers too, please dont post that link here now.

I was chatting to a new MUX owner recently and we compared speed and revs. No surprise that the Trailblazer and MUX appear to have the same gearing. But.... when we started digging down into the data it transpired that the gearing is completely different. In 6th the MUX has much higher gearing, but the diff ratio of the MUX is much lower than the Chevy's.
Then this thought crossed my mind: could the MUX diffs possibly be interchangeable with the Chevy's diffs. If so, then one can fit larger wheels on the Chevy and not compromise on the gear ratios. Because the standard gearing is so high, one is hesitant to go for bigger tyres and end up with way too high gearing.

Commonality in parts and components might well exist:

Keeping this thread alive, at the risk of labouring the same point: only the platform is shared between Isuzu and GM. Everything that is bolted onto that chassis, that I have been able to check, is brand specific.

Jaco and I recently had a discussion on the gearing and speedo accuracy of the Mux and Trailblazer. Attached is a pic of my GPS during my Trailblazer test

Did you have a software mod done on the Chevy's software Roelf? I could never get my TB past 184 km/h, as the software restricted any further funamalinges. I always suspected that 2.8 motor was capable of close too 300 km/h.

Did you find testing conditions in Europe more friendly.... Haha....

The drivers of appliances are now furiously googling "chip mods".

    Happy New Year!
