In Johannesburg/Benoni/Brakpan I fully 2nd that!!! I have only had good service from Albert.

In Pretoria (Albert is too far away for us) we are blessed to have Walter and Org.

AFAS the badmouthing of individuals on this forum is concerned, that is a very sad story indeed.

The main aim of this forum is and should be to assist old and newcomers with useful information on how to sort out issues and where to go for service.

I personally learnt some very expensive lessons on where not to go - and no Albert akas Landyluvver was not the culprit. For the past 3 years we only use Walter and Org for servicing and Sean from the Gearbox company for autobox issues.

That is all for now folks

Happy new Year to all on the forum

I support Albert, even if it's an hr's drive, as he has helped me out stacks over the last 10 yrs or more and always given good service. This has included everything from 2 motor rebuilds to minor fixes. Where there's been an issue (which can happen with anything involving people or mechanical things, especially Land Rovers) it's always been resolved amicably and reasonably.

i then decided to divorce myself from negativity spread around on this platform and to redirect my focus.

it is very easy to discredit someone! it is difficult to build a name and credibility.
on one hand i can count "incidents" most of which were resolved without legal battles.

in Afrikaans we say - stank vir dank! i now withhold advise from experience gained from years of working only on Land Rovers and researching topics.

thanks to guys like Family Dog, Nico H and Henris to name but a few of being gentlemen and not getting involved in politics. many regulars have left this forum as a result of politics and bitching and whining! please ask yourself what the purpose is of this forum! to share knowledge! not to attack people publically! agree to disagree!

i have had my say so wishing you well!
Landyluvver, sorry you went through this but you are 100% correct. I used to visit this forum several times a day, every day. I now visit if I am really bored and probably less than 10 times in the last year.
Sad as this forum used to be really good before the politics, chirping and sny comments from the same old idiots over and over started happening as well as the one sided negativity.

    All the best.

I am in the same boat as you Bruce. Its evident in the forum as well, the Landy forum is really really quiet these days with only a few posting.
