Default Romer vs Rogue Cool boxes

    Hi all,

Does anyone have experience of Romer or Rogue coolboxes?

The Romer 40LT coolbox is R1849 vs the Rogue 45LT, which is R3490. Quite a big price difference, for what essentially seems like a similar product. Any advice or inputs would be greatly appreciated.

I have a 65 ltr ROMER, will never buy anything else again. Bottle opener in the lid an added bonus and you will never dent the lid when used as a seat

You can also get a 45 litre Romer if you want that size, fits a 2l cool drink bottle upright vs. on its side with the 40l.

Great strong coolers that keep ice for days

I bought a 45L Romer and had it in the trailer for the Jan trip to CKGR. Loaded a solid block from the bottle store on day one, took 2 days to get to CKGR and spent five nights there. It took all of that time for the block to melt and the water was still freezing cold, enough for the warm beers to go in there and get cold. It served me well over the 8 days before I needed to put ice in again.

Mine has the bottle opener and I did the gas lift mod on the lid I find the Romer to be quite tough and rugged. If you take the drain plug out when it stands it does not get smelly. The handles are a pleasure and the rubber catches are secure.

Money well spent, yeah I would say so

The rogue I have no experience with.
Lusted for a Landy but the Pajero was sexier and bigger in the right departments, just like my Missus.

Please you must understand that it is a very expensive mod

    https://www.gelmar.co.za/index.php?r...product_id=877

    Instructions come in the packet.

Also works very well for lightweight trailer nose cone lids

Also bought the romer 65L on takelot for a steal, free delivery, great sturdy box. Don't think I will need another one soon (well maybe the 40L). really like the quality, handles and latches are great. easy to drain melted ice water, and keeps things lekka cold.

I have both and, based purely on keep stuff frozen, the Romer is not better. Build and quality, Romer FTW
