FNB and Standard Bank ATM's are in the major centres, easy to draw Kwacha. They say you can pay for fuel with card in the major centres, but cash is definitely easier.

Diesel is still 15.59K/litre which is really cheap.
I believe it is being intentionally kept low due to the upcoming elections. So could change drastically after 12 Aug 2021

Thats R10.30 a litre, about 67% cheaper than SA, yet most of Zambia's diesel comes from SA.

I believe most actually comes from Tanzania through a pipeline. I would expect a serious adjustment post elections.

New fuel price from midnight tonight

Just updating this with current news of fuel in Zambia.
Following the new Government's success in getting IMF and other loans they are removing the subsidies from fuel from today, Friday 17th December 2021. The new prices are [Kwachas] Gas 21.16 [increase of 20%] and diesel 20.15 [increase of 19%]. In future, they will also be reviewed monthly similar to the SA prices.
Zambia has also recently closed it's border to South Africans, although this may be temporary. [Omicron panic]
One other thing, buy your 3rd party online before you go. One month is only 137.90 KWZ online but the border is charging 522.00 KWZ for 3 months. Some borders including Katima Mulilo are insisting on 3 moths insurance. It's a scam.

Add ZMK1000 for remote areas
Fuel Supply: No Shortages

Things have changed over the years (13 yrs) I remember everybody complaining about paying K5.35/lt back in 2009 and yes we are all still complaining

We are heading there in June July hopefully comes down even more in June

Same price everywhere but sometimes I've seen filling stations running promotions such as 50ngwee off a liter in Lusaka.
Price might go up and the end of this month as the kwacha value has tanked.
