The only curency accepted for fuel is ZMK
Also remember that unlike Botswana you cannot use your c/card to pay for fuel

Uniform Fuel Pricing is applied in Zambia ie no remote pricing diffirence

Supply is affected by the Ndeni shutdown and a strike by the fuel truck drivers. Some towns are dry and expect remote areas to be hit as well.
There has been no delivery of fuel to filling stations since Friday 8 Oct.

Tracy lets see by the end of the week. I will post another update. Think there s/be enough stock to satisfy the demand, but getting it to the filling stations once they have a backlogg might be the biggest challenge. Priority would be given to the mines and large towns and I am afraid remote areas like Mumbwa could be dry for a while.

I am sure you will always find some fuel but it might come at double the price and not so clean. So always have an extra diesel filter or 2 depending which places you are visiting.

The strike has been called off and fuel distribution was resumed today. Guess all would be back to normal supply at filling stations early next week.

It's all your fault, Bertie! If you guys didn't keep finding huge great lumps of copper in the ground, the Kwacha would be doing nothing, and Zambia would be less expensive to visit!
