I can just imagine the uproar if it was a MB who had a "difference of the result from directive that was issued" and got a slap on the wrist.

The investigations showed that the initial discrepancy was constant even after the race. So the extra did not contribute to any advantage.

So, if I skip a stop sign, and I don't cause an accident, I am innocent!

    Please refer to post #3514.
    Were they guilty, or not?
    If innocent, why the fine?

Stop signs are a rule of the road.

Clearly you don’t know the difference between a directive and a rule.

Pretty embarrassing for Ferrari IMO, Bottas starts last and basically beats both red cars

Can't wait for the Netflix F1 Documentary for season 2 (F1: Drive To Survive.) for the race for 4th place.
For those that has not seen the first season, it is very well done and gives good insight and background info.

I'd say that it was the best thing that happened to F1 in a long time. Since watching Drive to Survive my daughter has also become an ardent fan, and it has now become "our thing" to watch it together.

Dirtshark, I am also very confused with Ferrari's drop in performance after the (Max's) speculations of over fueling etc started to come out.
The reason I say this is, at Monza this year, Vettel clocked 365km/h (yet, records only shows 346km/h)
    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=n2ltrewUlCo

Yesterday, Seb clocked the fastest speed of 329km/h and Leclerc 327.2, So, where did the ±20km/h difference in speed go?
Sure, they still have a slight advantage with the Queen only achieving 321.1 and Vercrashen 322.6, but ultimately the Queen did not push it to the "Max" (pun intended)

I am not trying to insinuate anything, just questioning why they became so "slow"

Vettel accellerated 0 - 200km/h in 4.4s at the start.

F1 car is actually an upside down airplane wing. Go too slow in a corner and the car may go off the track. Go too fast and the car goes off the track.
I understand that perfectly, I did my final year research project to implement a laminar flow section in a wind tunnel with no boundary layer growth over the test section

My comment was based on some speculation that Ferrari cheated and now have less of the strait line speed than before?

Somebody mentioned that the engine was 2020 model. As it was brand new and no more used after the race they gave him party mode for large part of the race. If the flap system was working the full race he would have been 3rd.
