Many years ago I walked through the Angolan bush hoping to see an Angola Pita. Only later did I realise that they donít occur there - had to drive to Mushumbi Pools in northeastern Zim to see my first one. Saw some later under the security lights on someones lawn near the Honde Valley. Nice bird to tick.

Now the African Pitta for those scratching their noggins.

A friend end of mine is birding near the Zambezi delta and they connected with one a couple of days ago.
