    Default Goo-Moremi in Botswana

Has anyone camped at Goo-Moremi Gorge, some 5okms from Palapye in Botswana?
    Any advice when so doing?

I have not camped there but have visited.
It was a couple of years ago but the facilities looked quite good.

We have camped there for a single night in June 2015.

We failed in our attempts to contact them beforehand (no answer to emails/phones) so we decided to give it a go in anyway. We arrived at the gate (around dusk) and we managed to secure a site or two. The camp sites were beautiful (under big trees and well kept) and the toilets were clean and in good condition. This was a long time ago, but we were keen on coming back (around the fire camp-site-talk).

We also hiked up the Goo-moremi gorge - nice morning activity for the whole family!

    Great news, many thanks!
I don't seem to be able to get through to them either, so will also take a chance and just pitch up.

We were there in April. Very nice campsites and spotless ablutions. As others have mentioned, very hard to get through to them.

I do not recall the campsites having power?
    Perhaps new?

    Thanks for phone no.
I had a different one from the website - 002673913111 - 1 character less! Maybe that was the problem.

Is this worth making a long weekend from Gauteng?

    Camping or Chalets?

How difficult is the hike (I'll be carrying a two year old)?

Camp site nice with nice ablutions. The chalets also nice and closer to the mountain.
The hike is actualle two.The first part is easy and about max 2h.The second hike is a day and not easy.Did not do the second, not enough time.
We enjoyed Goo-Moremi and was booked to end our Bots trip there begin May....

It is a very nice place to go, but will rather do the chalets if you want to go for a weekend.

They have a very nice restaurant, but everything on the menu is not always available.

The luxury tents is really really nice if you want to spoil yourself, but then you have to eat at the restaurant and cannot braai at the tent.
