Good morning, love some help with an ID on this little guy found under my lapa in south of JHB this morning
He has no other color o no him at all pale grey / white underneath
I did unfortunately ruin his breakfast, but he'll be let go to carry on with what snakes do.
Thinking cape wolf snake?
I think that you're right.

Correctly identified - Common Wolf Snake.
He went back in the garden next to the lapa where he was found, hopefully he makes a dent in my rampant lizard population.
Noooo ... lizards are cute
If I can change I hope I never know.
That's the thing with snakes, they are only to be found where there is a good food supply and often snakes will have a specific preference, IE egg eaters, rat snakes and so on.
Good for you, let the little fellow eat his fill. More beneficial to you than chucking him out.

Lusted for a Landy but the Pajero was sexier and bigger in the right departments, just like my Missus.
