Obviously the absent manufacturers do not influence the bakkie discussion maar ek noem dit maar net.
Maybe they didn't make it to the finals for those to be judged?

I believe the Aygo and the Yaris are just re-badged Peugeots.

Yes. Me too. The one that is not restricted to only 50ppm diesel . But I put it to you, there are more Touaregs past the 200k km mark than 200s on this forum

I do not argue that. But reading the high mileage Touareg threads it seems it goes hand in hand with high maintenance.
Not try to start any arguments it is only my observation.

I have owned a Passat and then Swambo`s Volla bus. I am just to poor own a VW once out of warranty and motor plan. Maybe I just have bad luck with German vehicles or do most people that are happy with them sell them before the 100k km?

200 Series not restricted to 50ppm

I had a look into the article. Not enough info how the score is calculated and also I did not see how many vehicles per model were in the survey. Considering also that two German makes, which tend to get a bit poor rating in Europe, and Koreans, which tend to get high ranking, are not part of this I do not give much credibility to the results. Three months ownership is short.

One of the posts mentioned local production. Lot of the actual local parts production is scaled down. Would be interesting to know what is actually made here.

The article in question deals with new cars.

Show me the resale value the first owner of a Tuareg bought new received upon trading it in on a later model new Tuareg. Adding another 3 before your 30 is probably closer to the ball park figure, and that is probably after a year.

Similarly to many other expensive cars, buying a Tuareg new only makes sense if the company buys the car and the company takes the knock.

Bad business idea to buy cars. Money should be used to make company better.

Way too many too expensive cars have been bough by companies (and government/municipalities). They suffer as a result.
