Default My clothing boxes built for Challenger Bundu Basher offroad trailer

I have been toying for long with the idea to build some clothing storage boxes on the tent side of my Challenger Bundu Basher. So at last I got down to starting.

    1. First photo is what the setup looked like before I started - a jerry can bracket on the side, a utility box on the wheel arch with a multiplug and airvent built into the side - the airvent for the fridge inside.

    2. Photo 2 is after having removed everything - the holes left where the multiplug and airvent was, will be covered with a piece of tread plate on the outside, seeing this will be behind the boxes I am putting up.

    3. Photo 3 is the frames finished and in place where it will be mounted. The front box will have two doors opening to the sides whereas the box on the wheel arch will have a lid that opens to the top. The front box will have 2 shelves inside whilst the box on the wheel arch will only have one shelf.

    4. Photo 4 is where I started to fix the treadplate to the frames, using Soudaflex and clamps to keep it in place whilst drying.

I will post updates as I progress.

Seems like it will work very well. Enjoy the build.

Last night I have put it in place on the trailer and drilled the holes where it will be fixed to the trailer, closed up the holes left by the removal of the multi plug and airvent and fitted the top pieces of tread plate.

will try to finish them off and fit them over the weekend.
