    Default New collapsible canopy

I think some one should help this guy patent it, if it is for real, and sell it to a canopy producer.

Trick will be to seal the roof where the hinges are in the middle.

But I think it is a brilliant concept.

Or is it a type of rubber/canvas material?

A guy came to see me about 4-5 years ago with a similar design he had built himself. Not sure if it is the same chap or not, and from memory he also lived in the Helderberg, if not, he was from the Western Cape somewhere. I recall looking at this at the time and no longer remember why I did not take to the idea at the time.

The one downside that I see with that design is that one will be unable to install a roll-bar. It might just be cosmetics, but I feel just a tad safer knowing that there is a little bit of support in the case of a roll-over.
