Question Best driving method on Gharagab out road with Toyota Hilux 2.8 GDI AT?

Can anybody please give me advice re best method to drive the Gharagab out road with the above vehicle.
I have previously done it with a Landrover Defender 100 (90 Kw), and the only way I could get up the last dune was in low range, third gear pedal to the metal.
Whether that was the best way I am not sure.
    Thanks in advance.

That last dune can be tricky, it throws you from side to side and then is spun out at the top.

The last time we did it was 4L second gear, but we drive a Pajero auto and locked it in second. 4L in the Pajero also locks the centre diff.

I would think similar in the Hilux auto would be the way to go.

We managed to idle up there without too much drama.

My tyres (Scorpions) were 1.4 bar

Lusted for a Landy but the Pajero was sexier and bigger in the right departments, just like my Missus.
