I think that is the 2020 facelift. I read somewhere that it looks like the new RAV. I love this look.

I *think* as a stop gap till the face lift arrives, TSA will be launching a 'Fortuner Epic' model.

(I hope TSA changes the steering wheel's position to the right side )

Eish, like the previous Epic, again will just be cosmetic changes, nothing mechanical, or even functional, with a R50k price tag

Facelifted Toyota Fortuner uncovered in fresh (very low-res!) images...
Sun Patcharapol postedimages of the facelifted Toyota Fortuner on Facebook...

Published by Ryan Bubear on 09.04.2020

Fresh (frustratingly low-resolution) photographs showing the facelifted Toyota Fortuner have emerged online, effectively confirming the Hilux-based SUV will adopt a new RAV4-inspired face.

First posted on Facebook by Sun Patcharapol of Thailand, the blurry images show the refreshed Fortuner from two angles. Expect an official reveal in the coming weeks.
While the profile view gives us a look at the updated model’s new alloys and black contrast roof (similar to that applied to the recently revealed Epic Black variants), it’s the other photograph that is perhaps most interesting.

It suggests the refreshed Fortuner has gained a new, more angular front bumper and grille design that mimics that of the RAV4 (lining up with earlier reports). The vehicle pictured appears to feature black rather than chrome trim for its slim grille, while the headlamps seem to have gained a new lighting signature.

Of course, we’ve yet to have a look at the seven-seater SUV’s revised rear end nor its updated cabin. Based on earlier reports, the interior is likely to benefit from an updated touchscreen infotainment system, complete with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto functionality.

And under the bonnet? Well, while the engine range is expected to continue largely unaltered (bar perhaps a little more oomph from the 2,8-litre turbodiesel shared with the Hilux), it’s worth noting Toyota South Africa Motors recently confirmed the discontinuation of the 4,0-litre V6 petrol variant as well as all manual models.

The current-generation Fortuner was revealed in 2015 before hitting the market in South Africa at the end of the first quarter of 2016. The strong-selling local range is built at Toyota’s Prospecton plant in KwaZulu-Natal, with other engine options including a naturally aspirated 2,7-litre petrol mill and a 2,4-litre turbodiesel.

They should make it full time 4x4 like Everest and also give the top range model a sunroof. Android auto and apple carplay would be nice too.

Default New Toyota Fortuner facelift to debut on 4 June - Report

Maybe a reveal on 4 June?

New Toyota Fortuner facelift to debut on 4 June - Report
    29/05/2020 - 10:23 Toyota Fortuner, Toyota| Sagar Parikh

The new Toyota Fortuner facelift is less than a week away from being officially unveiled now. According to a new report from MagCarZine, the 2021 Toyota Fortuner will debut on 4 June 2020, in Thailand

    .

The new front end of the 2021 Toyota Fortuner will have a sharper design.

Spy shots have already leaked the new Toyota Fortuner facelift. The upcoming mid-size SUV will feature sharper headlamps, likely inline LED-type ones, slimmer but wider radiator grille, new lower air intake and an edgy new bumper at the front. On the sides, it will have new 20-inch 5-twin-spoke alloy wheels. At the rear, there will be a new bumper with L-shaped reflectors/fog lights for a more imposing style and maybe tweaked tail lamps as well.

The interior of the 2021 Toyota Fortuner may comprise revised instrument cluster, new infotainment system varying as per the market, fresh leather upholstery and new decor elements. The overall design is likely to be the same as that of the old model.

Reports say that the Toyota Fortuner will get a more powerful 1GD-FTV 2.8-litre diesel engine with the mid-life update.

The new Toyota Fortuner should be offered with the same engines as the old model, at least in India. The current model, for reference, is available with the 2TR-FE 2.7L petrol engine and the 1GD-FTV 2.8L diesel engine in our market.

The latter is said to be more powerful in the new model, though. In the outgoing model, it produces 177 PS of maximum power and 420 Nm (with 6-speed MT)/450 Nm (with 6-speed AT) of maximum torque.

The 2021 Toyota Fortuner may arrive in Indian showrooms as early as at the end of this calendar year. Stay tuned to IndianAutosBlog.com for more Toyota updates and other four-wheeler news.[News Source: magcarzine.com]

Not to stir, but if I look at the front, then the lines reminds me a lot of the 2020 Pajero Sport. Not so?
