    Default Jimny replacement battery

Could of sworn I created this thread already

There was a thread discussing a slightly larger battery for the Jimny, anyone know the model number, or which thread it was?

    My battery died today.

    I have a 631C
Doubt if you'll be able to fit a larger one. The 631C fill all the space in mine.

For around R600 you can get an additional battery plate for the front and get an auxiliary battery. I'd much rather go that way. Even 35ah is not a lot. At 50% decharging you are looking at 17ah, my thermo cooler will kill that in 7 hours.

How much would wiring it up coast though? Wouldn't you need some sort of intellegent monitoring system?

I doubt any manufacturer would sell him one. He'll let battery acid leak onto it, leave it for 2 years until it rusts through, then claim that it is a poor product.

Only poor quality manufacturers would have batteries that leak so easily from the get go, unless maybe the batteries also aren't meant for the coast?

The National Luna intelligent solenoid is also around R 700 without the battery monitor attachment which you don't really need. The power that you draw will only be from the aux battery.

Thanks - going to visit battery center on Friday, vehicle has started fine, and immediately everytime this week, but don't want to take the chance - I'll keep the existing battery as a backup.

Went to battery center - battery is fine, and alternator is charging, but battery is flat... went to Midas and confirmed same. I drive for at least 2 hours....so wtf.

(I went to Battery Center after driving around for about an hour)

My battery also just died overnight , if I jump start it , it will run , but dies as soon as I put the a/c on , alternator is charging correctly. 14,2 with load , 14,5 without .

Never seen a car die once it's running with only a bad battery , a bad alternator sure , unless the std alternators charge rate is piss poor ?
